Cozumel, Q.R. — A Cozumel firemen rescued a cat from an island tree after being reported stuck by its owner Mr. Feliciano. The unnamed fireman made the 8-meter ladder climb Thursday in search of the feline.

The animal was located clinging to a group of cocos at the top of the tree. After several attempts to pull it free, the cat finally let go and was carried to the ground via the ladder by the rescuing fireman.
A second fireman stayed below to secure the long ladder and video the safe retrievale of the house pet. In a brief statement, Cozumel firemen reported on their afternoon rescue.
“Another successful rescue! We responded to Mr. Feliciano’s call for help, who told us that his pet climbed an 8-meter palm tree and it was impossible for him to get it down. Upon arrival, we proceeded to rescue the cat using a hook ladder.

“If you see an animal in danger, do not hesitate to ask for help. At the Cozumel Fire Department, we are here to serve you,” Patronato de Bomberos de Cozumel posted.
