Cozumel, Q.R. — A man captured on video assaulting three people in Cozumel on New Year’s Eve has been located. Police say Emmanuel Alejandro “N” is in custody for physically assaulting a woman and two men.
The assault was caught on video December 31, 2025 when the assailant police have identified as Emmanuel Alejandro “N” was recorded physically attacking a woman. The video shows the woman was on the ground with her aggressor above her swinging punches.
Authorities say Investigative Police carried out an arrest warrant against Emmanuel Alejandro “N” “for his alleged involvement in events possibly constituting the crime of aggravated injuries.”
In a statement they said “the now detained man is being investigated for events that occurred on December 31, 2025, which were recorded in a video disseminated through social networks, in which he is seen physically assaulting a female, and also assaulted two males.”
Two men who attempted to intervene were also videoed being assaulted by the same aggressor.
The video went viral across social media the following day, which lead police to obtain an arrest warrant for the assailant.
