Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A gray compact car overturned along the Tulum-Playa del Carmen Federal Highway leaving the driver and passenger with only minor injuries.
It was just before noon when police were called to the scene of a rollover along the federal highway in the municipality of Playa del Carmen. The accident happened near the resort of Xaman-Ha at kilometer 241.
Police arrived to find the small car on its roof in the fast lane. They proceeded to direct traffic while paramedics arrived, however, the car’s two occupants were diagnosed with only minor bruises and were not transferred to hospital.
There was no official cause of the rollover.
