Combi heavily damaged in Felipe Carrillo Puerto collision

Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A dump truck crossing the path of a fast moving combi caused substantial damage but no serious injuries. The accident happened Saturday near the town of Muyil in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.

The public passenger van from the General Francisco May Union was destined for Playa del Carmen when the driver of a dump truck cut it off. Both collided head on with the passenger van receiving the most damage.

Elements of the National Guard Roads Division appeared at the scene along with paramedics who treated passengers inside the van for minor injuries received during impact.

The combi van was running the Felipe Carrillo Puerto – Tulum – Playa del Carmen route at the time of the accident.
