Cancún, Q.R. — A police chase involving two armed youths on a motorcycle has ended with one in hospital and the other in jail. The chase began after the driver of the motorcycle refused to stop for police.
The motorcycle was summoned to pull over around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Guayacán Avenue, however, the driver made an attempt to flee instead. Preliminary reports say police fired at the motorcycle, hitting one of the men.
The pair were taken into custody on Huayacán Avenue near Residencial Aqua. An ambulance was called to transfer the injured youth to the General Hospital while the second was taken to jail. The motorcycle was hauled to the pound by a tow truck.
