Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcyclist died Friday afternoon in Region 102 of Cancun after being hit by a public transport bus.
The directorate of traffic received a report of the accident, which happened around 5:00 p.m. Friday at the junction of Miguel Hidalgo and 149 Avenue. Reports say that the driver of a public Turicún transport bus flew through a red light at excessive speed, hitting the motorcycle.
The impact from the collision tore the bike into pieces and left it’s driver, 29-year-old Israel C.C., deceased on site.
The driver of the Turicún bus was arrested by police.
