Cancun firemen rescue two month old puppy from bottom of five meter deep well

Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen say they were able to successfully rescue a two month old puppy that fell down a deep well. The small dog was seen at the bottom of a hole approximately five meters deep.

The dog’s owner called local firemen for help Saturday in hopes they could pull the puppy back to the surface.

In a statement, the Cancun Fire Department said they were able to reach the dog and bring it to safety during their “successful rescue”.

“Successful Rescue! The Cancun Fire Department successfully rescued a brown, mixed-breed puppy, approximately two months old, that was trapped inside a well about five meters deep.

Cancun firemen were called to a city suburb Saturday to rescue the small dog. December 20, 2025.

“Thanks to the intervention of the personnel and the application of safe procedures, the puppy was successfully rescued and is in good condition, its well-being ensured at all times.

“This type of action reaffirms our commitment not only to the safety of the public, but also to the protection and welfare of animals.

“We urge the public to keep wells, manholes, and deep spaces properly covered or marked, and to immediately report any risky situation that endangers the lives of people or animals by calling 911.

“Cancun Fire Department, always at the service of the community.To Serve and Protect!”
