Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun businessman was shot and killed in central Cancun Tuesday after two men on a motorcycle reportedly opened fire on the car he was in.
The shooting took place around 10:00 a.m. on Tulum Avenue in SM 4 of Cancun in what reports say was an apparent robbery. After leaving a bank and getting into his white car, two subjects on a motorcycle intercepted the vehicle, which is when he was shot.
The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Robert Roy B.A, owner of Exotic Rides. He was pronounced at the scene.
His passenger, 51-year-old Guillermo M.B., was hit in the arm but not seriously wounded. He was taken to hospital.
