Cancun, Q.R. — Air France says that 2018 marked a milestone for them with an increase in worldwide travel including their Paris-Cancun route.
The company reports that during 2018, more than 150,000 French passengers were flown from Paris to Cancun, an 11 percent increase over the previous year.
In a press release, Guilhem Mallet, general director of Air France-KLM in Mexico said “The Air France-KLM group, attentive to the needs of the Mexican market for years, has reinforced its presence in the southeast of Mexico.
“Cancun is undoubtedly one of the favorite destinations for Europeans to visit, but beyond simply bringing tourism to Mexico, this route is used as an attractive alternative by Mexicans living in the area to travel to Europe.”
He also pointed out that globally, traffic increased during 2018 over last year on all the Group’s airlines including Air France, KLM, HOP! and Transavia, which saw an overall increase of 2.8 percent in 2018, flying 101.4 million passengers in around the world.
