Cancun, Q.R. — At least 15 were injured when an ADO bus left the road and rolled along the Mérida-Cancún highway.
The accident happened Thursday night about 20 kilometers from its destination city of Cancun. Some passengers say the bus driver likely fell asleep at the wheel, while others said he was attempting to dodge a parked truck.
Neither of these versions have been confirmed.
Several ambulances rushed to the scene of the rollover after numerous private vehicles stopped along the highway to help those inside the bus. The injured were transported to area hospitals and began arriving at 11:20 p.m.
At least 15 people have been reported injured.
