Cancun, Q.R. — Two people have been arrested at the Cancun International Airport after they were found carrying a large amount of undisclosed cash.
The man and women, both of Mexican nationality, were getting ready to board an Aeromexico flight to Mexico City when they were found carrying the cash. Federal police say the pair were found with $133,445 USD in unclaimed cash and were unable to prove its legal origin.
They were taken into custody while they waited to be heard by la Fiscalía General de la República.
