62 kilos of drugs seized at Cancun airport

Cancun, Q.R. — Two large shipments of marijuana have been seized at the Cancun International Airports after being sniffed out by a narcotics dog.

Two packages being sent by a courier company were of special interest to the airport’s on-site narcotics dog after federal police conducted a review of the incoming shipment. The two boxes, one weighing 32 kilos and the other, 30 kilos, were marked for personal inspection.

Once opened, police discovered the 62 kilos of marijuana, which were kept for investigative purposes by the public ministry.
