Chetumal, Q.R. — A driver in his twenties was rushed to hospital Sunday night after rolling his car. The single vehicle accident happened on the Subteniente López bridge in Chetumal.
Passing motorists stopped to help the driver who was partially ejected from his car. He was found by other drivers laying on the pavement partially out of the driver’s side window.
According to witnesses, the young male was speeding over the bridge when he slammed into a concrete retaining wall and rolled his car while descending. Other motorists who stopped to help reported the accident to emergency services.
Police found the car laying on its roof and requested an ambulance. Elements of the Medical Rescue and Emergency Squad arrived. He was transferred to a Chetumal hospital.
