World’s second largest cruise ship set to return to dock Mahahual

Mahahual, Q.R. — The world’s second largest passenger cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, docked Mahahual on Tuesday. The ship arrived in the Costa Maya port town at 8:00 a.m. with a capacity to carry nearly 9,000 passengers and crew.

The Royal Caribbean ship with 23 swimming pools and 18 decks, left the port of Mahahual at 5:00 p.m. It is scheduled to return to Costa Maya on March 6, when it will again dock at 8:00 a.m. and set sail at 5:00 p.m that same day for Cozumel.

Ship NCL Breakaway (Norwegian Cruise Line) also docked at Mahahual on Valentine’s Day. The ship arrived at 11:00 a.m. and set sail again at 7:00 p.m.

On February 15, four cruise ships, Celebrity Beyond, Ruby Princess, NCL Bliss and Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, are scheduled to dock at Mahahual.

The Costa Maya port is scheduled to receive 23 more cruise ships during the month of February.
