Chetumal, Q.R. — A weekend shooting against a Chetumal nightclub has left one dead and two injured. The shooting took place around 9:00 p.m. Saturday outside a city bar on Bugambilias Avenue.
The three men were fired upon by a subject aboard a motorcycle who took aim at the club and the men standing outside before fleeing.
The two injured men are reported to be musicians who had just finished work inside the club and were outside waiting for a taxi. While there, they became the subject of a gunfire attack that left one man dead.
The deceased is an alleged area drug dealer. He was shot twice in the abdomen. Police have not said if the shooting was a targeted attack against someone outside the club or if it was an intimidation attempt against the facade of the building.
