Cancun, Q.R. — At least one vehicle inside an old Cancun car wash was left riddled with bullets during a drive by. The Monday evening attack took place in SM 308 of the city in the suburban area of Alfredo V. Bonfil.
According to police information, high-caliber weapons were used against the front of the business. It was around 6:07 p.m. when area residents reported hearing shots to emergency 911.
Responding officers arrived to confirm the targeted attack against the old car wash business. Inside, they located a gray Ford Fiesta riddled with bullet holes by an AK-47 Cuerno de Chivo.
The old car wash was being used as a tire shop. No one was hurt in the drive by business shooting. Police are investigating.
Less than 24 hours later, a man was found shot to death in the same Alfredo V. Bonfil suburb of Cancun while getting out of his vehicle.
