U.S. deports Mexican from New York to face murder charges in Chetumal court

Chetumal, Q.R. — A man wanted for a 2018 murder has been deported from the U.S. and returned to Quintana Roo. On Monday, the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) of Quintana Roo reported on the deportation of Abdiel “G” from New York.

He was handed over to Mexican authorities in the state of Tamaulipas after being arrested on January 13 of this year. Police in Goshen, New York, were part of a search and location operation request made to the Office of Detention and Deportation (ERO) of the United States.

With this, Abdiel “G” was arrested in Goshen, New York, on January 13 and kept in custody at the Orange County correctional facility until his Monday deportation back to Mexico.

Abdiel “G” was handed over by the U.S. authorities in the city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, from where he was transferred to the Chetumal Social Readaptation Center (Cereso).

Abdiel “G” is accused of a murder that occurred on October 28, 2018, in the town of Sabidos in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
