Chetumal, Q.R. — Two state health workers were killed Sunday night in an auto accident. Preliminary reports say their vehicle crashed into a palm tree, killing two and leaving two other injured.
The two victims, identified as G. M. C. and B. B. L., were returning from a health meeting in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, but on their return, about 120 kilometers from Chetumal, the driver lost control on a curve and the vehicle flipped.
Agents from the Rural Police responded to the report of the accident. Once there, they verified two dead and two injured, a woman and a minor child. A Chetumal ambulance arrived to transport the two injured to hospital.
The area was cordoned off pending investigators from the State Attorney General’s Office.
