Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Two crew members have been rescued from a capsized boat in the channel between Puerto Aventuras and the island of Cozumel. A vessel belonging to the Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station of Cozumel set out to locate the boat and its two-person crew after receiving an emergency call for assistance.
In a statement, the navel agency reported a private vessel Elf with two crew capsized while sailing. The pair had sailed from Puerto Aventuras when the accident occurred. Elf was located and its crew rescued. The agency says both were found in good health and did not require special medical attention.
