Mahahual, Q.R. — Two men died over the weekend in a crash between two motorbikes. A female passenger from one of the involved bikes was taken to hospital.
The deadly crash happened in the town of Mahahual Saturday evening. Paramedics were at the scene of the 7:30 p.m. accident where they attended to the three people reported injured.
When they arrived, they found one man already deceased. A second man, who was traveling with a female passenger, died on scene shortly after the accident. The young woman was transferred to hospital.
Preliminary reports suggest one of the drivers invaded the lane of the other causing the crash. Both bikes were heavily damaged in the accident. Personal belongings, including ball hats, were found scattered meters from the crash site. None of the three were wearing helmets.
