Cancun, Q.R. — Police in Cancun have detained two males believed responsible for the murders of at least four people. One of those four was killed during the July 25 shooting of a family. The three family members had just pulled up outside their home when they were shot. The male driver, the father, died. His wife and 10 month old daughter were hit but survived.

In custody are 25 year old Bryan “N” and 23 year old Joshua “N”. Both were captured last week while riding a motorcycle without license plates in SM 107. The vehicle was stopped for also matching the description of the motorcycle used in the recent robbery of a jewelry store in SM 58.
Following their arrests, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested a search warrant, which was executed on July 31 at a residence on SM 103. During the search, police found jewelry, video game consoles and other stolen items.
A 9mm caliber firearm and a motorcycle matching the one used in the shooting of the family were also seized. According to the investigation, Joshua used his job as a delivery driver to obtain information about transactions in pawn shops and jewelry stores.
During the robberies, Bryan intimidated victims and drove the motorcycle while Joshua broke display cases and stole items. Police say both are linked to other recent homicides and robberies committed in Cancun.

Ballistics tests confirmed that the weapon seized from the home during their search was used in at least five other shooting incidences that left four people dead.
