Xul-Ha, Q. R. — Two people were killed in a fiery nighttime highway accident near the Mayan town of Xul-Ha. According to reports, the driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike due to speed as he neared the community.
The bike crashed into rocks on the highway shoulder where it spilled fuel and caught fire. Firemen were called to the accident site to deal with the flames that had quickly spread to the dry brush.
Medical personnel located the two motorcycle victims, one of whom died due to accident injures and the other, due to the fire.
