Mahahual, Q.R. — Two women received injuries after toppling their SUV outside the seaside resort town of Mahahual. Police and paramedics responded to the call for assistance Saturday after the vehicle was located laying on its driver’s side.
The SUV landed on its side after the driver lost control taking a corner. Police found the vehicle laying on the roadway with two females inside. Both were evaluated by responding paramedics. One, 28-year-old Paola N, suffered abdominal injuries, while the second woman was transferred to Chetumal hospital with a dislocated shoulder.
Preliminary reports say speed was likely a factor in the accident since roads were still wet after a recent heavy rain.
