Cancun, Q.R. — Two men have been charged with child pornography and trafficking after a complaint was filed by the Scientific Directorate of the National Guard. In separate hearings Wednesday, both were ordered to remain in custody for the duration of their trials.
According to the State Attorney General (FGE), they have been charged “for their probable connection to acts possibly constituting the crime of human trafficking in its form of child prostitution.”
Criminal complaints were filed against Jaime Omar “N” and Abel “N” by the Scientific Directorate of the National Guard after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children found child pornography material posted on a website.
After thorough searches, they found material consisting of photographs and videos depicting minors in sexually explicit situations. After identifying the users of the accounts from which the material originated, the FGE of Quintana Roo requested and obtained arrest warrants.

One of the men, Abel “N”, was located in the state of Aguascalientes where he was arrested and returned to Cancun to face charges.
