Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports that prosecutors from the public ministry captured Francisco P and Erasto H for the crime of homicide in relation to a male who was found hanging from a Puerto Aventuras overpass April 3.
The Attorney General state that the arrest of the pair was made in compliance with an arrest warrant issued by a judge after an investigation by police which included the search of a home in colonia Monte Sinaí.
The FGE says first investigations found that the two subjects in the company of three other people intercepted the victim in the streets of the Puerta Maya neighborhood on board two motorcycle taxis. Hours later, the victim’s lifeless body was located hanging from a bridge at the height of avenida Viveros.
The Communiqué issued by FGE did not identify the victim or offer any possible motive for the death.
