Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A crane with a car in tow was overturned after colliding with another car along the Playa del Carmen-Tulum highway.
The accident happened outside Puerto Aventuras Saturday morning. The tow truck was heading toward Playa del Carmen when he lost control on a corner and crashed into a compact car, losing his load and overturning his own vehicle.
The driver of the tow truck, along with the two passengers inside the compact car, were reported injured. Federal Police arrived along with Civil Protection to deal with the accident. Traffic was backed up while authorities cleared the highway.
