Cancun, Q.R. — State officials say they have taken three males into custody who are being investigated for the deadly Cancun bar shooting last week. On Tuesday, officials reported on the arrests of Ángel Aarón “N”, Manuel “N” and Wilbert Alejandro “N” for their possible involvement in the Huayacán Avenue bar shooting.

The trio are being investigated after a group of armed men stormed the under-renovation bar and opened fire on four men inside. Two of the four shot were killed.
The three suspects were arrested by members of the State Attorney General’s Office and the Centurión Group the following day. They were detained on drug charges. During their arrests, police seized 115 doses of marijuana, three cell phones and three backpacks.
Authorities indicated that their arrests are part of a close investigation into the armed attack on Huayacán Avenue, which is ongoing.

After the March 12 attack that left two dead, local authorities said their initial line of investigation in the shootings was related to drug dealing.
