Chetumal, Q.R. — For the third time in a week, a shop at the Plaza Las Américas in Chetumal has been hit by thieves, who this time, emptied an AT&T store.
The manager of the AT&T store was the one who noticed and reported the theft after arriving to open the shop. When he arrived, he reported finding the front door open and the store emptied of its cell phones.
The manager reported the theft of 56 cell phones and 15,000 peso in cash from the store. It was the third similar robbery in one week at the mall.
The previous Sunday, subjects entered the Elektra store of the plaza and made off with a reported 5 million peso in products. Two days later, the same thing happened at a computer company that has not yet reopened.
The plaza has surveillance cameras, but so far, there are no detainees.
