Cancun, Q.R. — A third arrest has been made in the August 8 murder of a 35-year-old Yucatan businessman outside his Cancun office. Educardo “N”, identified by Cancun authorities as a “professional”, was shot to death inside his car as he arrived at his Cancun office.
Marco Antonio “N”, who is the third person to be arrested in the case, “was allegedly in charge of monitoring the victim’s movements days before he was killed,” the State Attorney General (FGE) said in a statement.
Marco Antonio “N” was picked up in Cancun on an outstanding arrest warrant and is facing charges of “aggravated homicide against a professional victim,” the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) has said.
“According to investigations, this person was in charge of monitoring the victim’s movements days before the events in order to provide information to the alleged hitman Mario José “N” alias “Noble”, so that he could kill the professional,” the agency explained.
Two others, Mario José “N” and Tito “N”, have also been arrested in relation to “the qualified homicide against a professional person.”
