Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A suspect accused of participating in the murder of a Puerto Aventuras woman has been charged. Police said Wednesday that Carlos Adrián “N ” has been charged with aggravated homicide for the 2024 murder.
Carlos Adrián “N” was arrested by FGE Investigation Police on an outstanding warrant. He was picked up last week in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco. Two others have already been arreseted and charged for the same murder.

According to police, Jonathan “N” and José de Jesús “N”, alias “Gordo”, are already facing charges in connection with the January 2024 shooting death of a woman.
“The events occurred on January 28, 2024 when José de Jesús “N” allegedly met with Carlos Adrián “N”, Jonathan “N” and another person involved, whom he allegedly ordered to take the life of the victim, providing a firearm for that purpose,” they reported in a statement.
“That same day, in the afternoon, the victim left her workplace in the town of Puerto Aventuras at which point she was intercepted by one of the accused who took her to a dirt area where the other people involved were already there.
“At that location, the victim was physically assaulted and subsequently killed with a firearm.
“Afterward, the assailants placed the body in a hole on the property and covered it with lime and cement to prevent its discovery, however, as a result of the investigation, the victim’s skeletal remains were located on March 5, 2024.”
The deceased woman has not been named. Police did not provide a motive behind the murder.
