Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A taxi driver in Puerto Aventuras was shot to death Tuesday while aboard his unit. The shooting took place around 6:00 p.m. on Avenida Calzada del Sol of the Puerto Maya subdivision.
The driver was part of the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Union and has not been named. According to early information, he was shot several times through the driver’s side window. At least four bullets penetrated the glass.
A minor girl who was a passenger in the car at the time of shooting received minor injuries and was transferred to hospital.
Solidaridad Municipal Police arrived at the scene to cordon off the area, as well as forensic medical service to remove the body.
