Chetumal, Q.R. — A woman was rushed to a Chetumal hospital Friday after being pulled from the water unconscious. The unnamed 55-year-old female was pulled from the sea off a Mahahual beach Friday afternoon.
She was reported in a critical condition on the sand. Paramedics rushed her to hospital.
According to available information, the woman, a tourist, was part of a group. She was seen thrashing in the water and was helped out by other swimmers. Firemen and Marina personnel provided aid and were able to get her breathing again before being transferred to hospital.
Her current condition is unknown.
