Chetumal, Q.R. — Inmates in the Chetumal Cereso have their own communication team reported the SSP. The Quintana Roo Secretary of Public Security (SSP QR) made the announcement after conducting a review at the Othón P. Blanco Social Reintegration Center (Ceresco).
While there, authorities located the prohibited items inside several cells of the Chetumal Penitentiary. In total, they located an eight-port TP Link switch with a charger, as well as another five-port link, 280 meters of UTP cable and nine wireless station cards.
Also seized were three gray functioning phones with chargers, an Xbox 360 Kinect and two Xbox 360 games along with a 4G ZLT portable modem.
The SSP of Quintana Roo said that all the illegal items were seized from the prison and an official complaint filed with the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) against whomever is responsible for the installation and use of the technological equipment.
