Mexico City, Mexico — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) has reported the death of another Mexican national in the recent Fourth of July parade shooting in Chicago. The report came after confirmation was provided by the Mexican Consul in Chicago, Reyna Torre.
“We regret to report that a second person of Mexican origin lost his life this morning as a result of the shooting in Highland Park. Our solidarity to his family and friends,” she reported.
This latest death is the second Mexican national to have died after a shooting in Highland Park, Illinois earlier in the week. The first Mexican killed in the deadly Chicago parade shooting was a 78-year-old man who was a U.S. resident. The second person killed has not been identified.
