Chetumal, Q.R. — An ambulance was called to Avenida Insurgentes to treat two people inside a car that hit a city pole.
The single vehicle crash happened Monday afternoon at the intersection of Insurgentes and Nápoles avenues. Other drivers reported seeing the car being driven erratically before the crash.
The Chetumal driver of a blue Tsuru crashed into a metal sign post belonging to the Ministry of Communications and Transportation.
The accident happened Monday around 2:00 p.m. that snarled mid-day city traffic.
The driver and passenger were injured and treated by paramedics from the fire department.
The female passenger was taken to the General Hospital for medical attention while traffic officers sorted out the crash. The old model car was a write off from the accident.
