Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Police inside their Puerto Aventuras headquarters attended the scene of an attempted murder after hearing gunfire on the street. Police reported hearing gun shots around 8:10 p.m. near their building.
When responding, they verified the finding of one injured person. Reports say subjects aboard a motorcycle took aim at the man, who was hit and seriously injured.
Police requested an ambulance for the injured man, who was stabilized on scene before being rushed to hospital in Playa del Carmen.
Although police deployed a search operation for those responsible, no arrests were announced.
