Sedetus lists more than two dozen Isla Mujeres properties selling land illegally

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Development has released a list of real estate developments selling land illegally. The most recent list includes more than two dozen areas in the municipality of Isla Mujeres.

The Secretaría de Desarrollo Territorial Urbano Sustentable (Sedetus) of Quintana Roo says the listed developments do not have permits to sell land or lots. They are warning potential buyers to not make purchases to avoid becoming a victim of fraud.

“Attention citizens! The Government of Quintana Roo, through SEDETUS and in coordination with the Municipality of Isla Mujeres, informs that these alleged developments do NOT have official permits or authorizations. Avoid fraud.

“Do not purchase, sell, assign rights, or rent these properties, as you could put your assets at risk. Protect your investment and secure your future with reliable information!”

It is the second time this year the agency has released a list of named properties attempting to illegally sell land in the municipality of Isla Mujeres.
