Second human skeleton in a month found washed up on a Cancun beach

Cancun, Q.R. — A large portion of in-tact skeletal remains were found Tuesday on a Cancun beach. People walking the beach made the accidental discovery just before noon.

Municipal authorities were sent to the seaside location in Puerto Juarez where they verified the washed up skeleton. Passersby called 911 reporting that they spotted, what they believed, were human bones.

The skeletal remains, which included a skull and spine, were washed up on a beach area of sargassum. Additional information regarding the finding was not provided by authorities.

Last month, human remains were found washed up on Playa Gaviota Azul in Cancun. Authorities did not provide a follow up on that finding.
