Chetumal, Q.R. — A citizen walking along the seashore of Chetumal Bay happened upon a floating body. The area resident made the report Tuesday afternoon a few kilometers from the community of Calderitas.
Municipal police arrived at the Chetumal Bay location where they were able to confirm a decomposing body floating off shore. Due to the location, a rescue team from the Othón P. Blanco Fire Department was requested.
The body was was retrieved from the sea and eventually removed by forensic personnel. An autopsy will be made to reveal the official cause of death.
