Riviera Maya, Q.R. — For the third consecutive day, the state of Quintana Roo has not recorded any covid-19-related deaths. State governor Carlos Joaquin reminds people that the disease still exists and health protocols remain in place.
It is also the third week the northern region has had a green epidemiological light. To continue this way, he says it’s important to continue with preventive health measures and protocols and strengthen vaccination schemes.
This panorama was provided by Joaquín when commenting on the process of the reopening activities, which he says, is going well.
Vaccination schemes continue for several Othón P. Blanco communities in the south with the arrival of the second dose. Those second doses will be applied from October 27 to November 5.
Joaquin mentioned that vaccines for last minute residents went well in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, but noted that Chetumal and Cozumel still lag behind. He says they are waiting for information on the arrival of additional doses for both cities.
