Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The State Health Secretary reports that Quintana Roo has officially exceeded 3,000 positive cases COVID-19 with 522 deaths.
In their daily report, the state Health Secretariat announced that as of June 23, the state total was 3,011 positive cases with 1,674 recovered and 522 deaths, adding that 638 people remain in isolation. The agency specified that the growth rate of cases is 1 in the north and 4.2 in the south, adding that the epidemiological light for Quintana Roo remains orange.
They reported that during the previous 24 hours, five deaths were recorded in Cancun along with one in Cozumel and one in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Likewise, 26 new positive cases were detected in Cancun, nine in Solidaridad and six in the south in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.
SESA’s technical statement reports Cancun with 1,910 positive COVID-19 cases, Cozumel with 74, Isla Mujeres has 26, Puerto Morelos 10, Solidaridad (Playa del Carmen) 453 and Tulum with 45 positive cases.
