Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Two people are officially running to fill the first mayor’s seat of Puerto Aventuras. Already registered with city hall are Gilberto Gómez Martínez and Feliciano Teh Cen, both of whom will compete for the position.
Both candidates registered on Tuesday morning, meeting the March 15 deadline to run in the upcoming election being held on March 27. In the esplanade of the Municipal Palace, both described the electoral process as “democratic” and “historic”, as they participate in the first-ever position of elected mayor of Puerto Aventuras.
The winning candidate will be sworn in as Mayor of Puerto Aventuras on April 1.
