Chetumal, Q.R. — State authorities have activated security protocols after the escape of an inmate from the Center for Social Reintegration (CERESO) in Chetumal.
In a social media message, the State Secretariat for Public Security announced that they are looking for a 31-year-old male identified as José Luis Contreras Gutiérrez or José Abraham Contreras Gutiérrez, who escaped from the capital’s prison.
The agency is asking anyone who may have seen him or has information on his whereabouts, to make a report to Emergency 911.
The escape occurred during the early morning hours of Monday. He was noticed missing when he failed to show for roll call.
