Police detain brother as potential suspect of man found beheaded in Cancun house

Cancun, Q.R. — Two people have been taken into custody in relation to the murder of a man found decapitated in Cancun Thursday. One of the two men taken into custody is reported to be the brother of the man found dead.

The body of Pedro “N” was found Thursday evening inside his home in the Paseos ChacMool subdivision. Someone coming to grab a set of keys found his headless body in the bedroom of his home around 6:30 p.m.

At the time, authorities believed the murder had occurred several days before he was found. The last time anyone saw him was Monday afternoon.

Since the Thursday discovery, two men have been taken into custody in relation to the Cancun murder and beheading of Pedro “N”.

According to available information, the brother of Pedro “N” was taken in for questioning. He is alleged to have known about the murder and who did it.

Early information indicates a man and women were responsible for the killing of Pedro “N”. At the scene, police found more than a dozen empty beer cans, a blood-stained knife and a cell phone.

An autopsy determined that the body had cuts on the face, hands, arms, chest, and shoulders. It appeared the victim struggled with his attacker before being killed. The house has since been secured by the state.

A possible motive for the murder has not been released by local police. It is not known if the victim’s brother played a role in the death of Pedro “N”.
