Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A clash between a Playa del Carmen taxi and a Tulum combi van at Puerto Aventuras left a metal mess, but no injuries.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. when a Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union taxi crashed into the back of a Tulum combi under the pedestrian overpass outside the Chedraui grocery store of Puerto Aventuras. The impact of the crash left the back of the Tulum combi indented and the taxi overturned.
The Playa del Carmen taxi unit ended up on its roof, where it came to a stop on the center ridge on the highway. Due to the hard impact, the front of the taxi was completely destroyed.
Authorities arrived to deal with the situation. Traffic was affected while both units were removed. There were no reports of injuries.
