Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A car with four people inside landed on its roof outside Puerto Aventuras Friday. Passing motorists who saw the car leave the highway called for emergency assistance.
When police arrived, they were told the driver of the white vehicle ended up in the ditch after trying to avoid another vehicle. The car flipped at least once before landing on its roof.
One person from inside the car was transferred to hospital by ambulance with undisclosed “serious” injuries. The car was traveling north to south when the accident happened.
