Chetumal, Q.R. — A man from Nicaragua was arrested in Chetumal Tuesday after being reported for theft. The man, located pulling a tattered black suitcase, was taken into custody by Chetumal Municipal Police on a downtown street.
The man, who has not been named, was located and arrested after being accused of stealing from several commercial businesses along De los Héroes Avenue and Othón P. Blanco.
Arresting officers handcuffed the man on the street while also seizing his suitcase. The arrest took place around 5:30 p.m. after a brief search for him due to several complaints of robberies.
After police processing, he was handed over to the National Migration Institute (INM) for the corresponding legal procedures.
