Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — New water lines being installed around Puerto Aventuras are half finished. Municipal head, Lili Campos, reported that the 15,360 linear meters of network being installed in Puerto Aventuras is 50 percent complete and should be finished by the end of May.
The mayor said that in order for the new pipelines to be installed, the municipal government is monitoring that each street is opened and then repaired immediately. The work is being done by Aguakan and is expected to be delivered in a timely manner, she said.
“This is part of the agreement and negotiation table that we held with this company, that each street that is attended to is repaired, because we cannot allow them to leave us in chaos,” she said.
She added that new expulsion valves are also being added, which she explained, will prevent meters from rotating and “charging for air”, something she said, is a common complaint by Augakan customers.
Two newly added catchment wells will also improve water service and pressure for area residents, she said.
