Mahahual, Q.R. — The Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico reports the rescue of two minors from Mahahual waters over the weekend.
The rescue occurred Saturday when personnel of the Eleventh Naval Zone rescued two minors who were drifting in the area of the Fisherman’s Wharf in Mahahual. The pair entered the sea after their kayak sank approximately 100 meters from the dock.
Personnel of the Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station were the ones who saw the two in the water asking for help. They were transferred back to shore and given a medical evaulation before being handed over to their parents.
Neither of the minors were reported injured.
