Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Two people were taken to hospital Thursday night from a single vehicle accident outside Puerto Aventuras. National Guard were at the scene of the crash where a car slammed into a concrete structure.
The driver of the private vehicle was heading south on the federal 307 when they left the highway and drove into its base. The front of the car was folded upward, rendering it a complete write off.
Both the driver and front seat passenger were injured. They were transferred to Playa del Carmen for hospital treatment.
National Guard Highways stayed behind for the corresponding report and towing of the vehicle.
Authorities at the scene did not speculate on a possible cause for the single vehicle accident.
